The Republic of Atalanta was one of the former States of Rodenia. It existed between 1621 and 1704.
History[]
Atalanta was founded in 1621 by Steffano Marchese. He wanted to cretate a democratic state. In 1625 the country became the first true democracy n Rodenia with the creation of a parliament. Under hothead president Niccolo Bermani Atalanta was involved in several wars. In 1704, it picked a fight with the Duchy of Colfax and within seven weeks their territory had been taken ovwer. They ceased to exist as a political entity that year.
