Michelotti was born in Rodenia Inferiore in 1872. He joined the Violan Army in 1891. He had one of the longest military careers ever, being in the Army until 1960, a 69 year career. Michelotti was an excellent commander, and was able to single-handedly defeat the Vistanians in the Alpine War (most notably at the Battle of Mestina). He was also the commander of the Violan forces which fought during WWII for the allies. After he retired in 1960, he was made an honorary Field Marshal, the first one in Violan history.
